FOUNDER
I began focusing on the science of endurance sport while studying Exercise and Movement Science at the University of Vermont. After completing my master’s degree in High Altitude Exercise Physiology from Western Colorado University in 2018, I relocated to Bozeman, Montana, where I developed a performance lab alongside training programs for local athletes at Lone Peak Performance.
My professional work centers on bridging physiology and performance. As an Exercise Physiologist, I have developed a comprehensive metabolic performance assessment integrating VOâ‚‚max, lactate threshold, VLamax profiling, and individualized training zones to guide athletes ranging from clinical populations to elite competitors. Over the course of my career, I have conducted more than 500 VOâ‚‚max tests and continue to analyze this growing dataset to refine training strategies and performance modeling.
As both a coach and athlete, I understand the demands of endurance sport in mountain environments. I have completed long-distance events such as the Vapor Trail 125 and Butte 100 and maintain extensive competitive experience across mountain biking, trail running, and ski mountaineering. I have coached athletes to success in local and regional events, national championships, and international races including UTMB. My approach blends exercise physiology, data-informed decision making, and real-world endurance experience to support sustainable performance and long-term development. My favorite thing about coaching is igniting a passion in others that leads to a lifetime of adventures.
COACH
I have been training for and competing in endurance sports since I was 11 years old. I started racing cross country mountain biking and cyclocross, as well as nordic skiing. Through college, I raced Division I Nordic Skiing, and fell in love with the process of training and finding ways to improve. For me, this included finding new strength exercises in the gym, enjoying long runs or rides in the mountains, and dialing in the right intervals to prepare for races. All of this combined is what can create the conditions for optimal performance. I also started as a volunteer coach with the local nordic team, and found the same joy in helping other athletes solve the puzzle of performance. After graduating college and moving to Bozeman, I knew that I wanted to continue coaching, training and racing. I started working with Bozeman Youth Cycling as a youth coach, while also racing on the UCI mountain bike circuit around the US. My favorite thing about coaching is getting to see all the improvements, both large and small, that athletes make through the process of training. Whether that means achieving consistency in training, shaving time off your favorite downhill, or crossing the finish-line first.
